Margaret Hamilton, nacida el 17 de agosto de 1936, es una renombrada científica de la computación e ingeniera de sistemas. Ella y su equipo crearon el software de navegación para el Programa Espacial Apolo y estableció dos compañías tecnológicas.

Margaret Hamilton, born August 17, 1936, is a renowned computer scientist and systems engineer. She and her team created the navigation software for the Apollo space program and founded two technology companies.

 

She coined the term "software engineering" and her work was critical to the safety of the Apollo missions, innovating in the development of robust and bug-proof software.

 

She was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2016 for her contributions to the Apollo missions and is recognized as one of the pioneers of systems reliability engineering.
