An elusive dinner

Pumpkin is an essential vegetable in fall cooking. We can use pumpkin not only to make the typical puree, which we can decorate in a suggestive way during these holidays, but also to make pasta sauces or spreads with different types of legumes, nuts or tofu, which we can serve in the same hollowed-out pumpkin if We want to give it a more festive touch. But my pumpkins are looking at me murderously, so I'm looking for other less aggressive vegetables in my garden for dinner...
