Kinderdijk Windmills
The Kinderdijk windmills, located in the Netherlands, are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a symbol of Dutch ingenuity in water management. Built in the 18th century, the 19 windmills are part of an intricate system designed to prevent flooding by draining water from the surrounding lowlands into nearby rivers. This particular photo of the windmills was my favorite. I believe it captures the essence of the environment – the canals, tall grasses, open sky, and the row of iconic structures.
