Shorenin Temple Gardens

Shorenin temple is one of the five monzeki temples of the Tendai Buddhist sect in Kyoto Japan. The gardens surrounding the temple are exceedingly tranquil, which is in sharp contrast to the hustle and bustle of the nearby Arashiyama Bamboo Garden and tourist shopping area.
