Log Cabin

Settlers of the American frontier (Old West) typically lived in log cabins that were built from interlocking tree trunks and sealed with moss and mud. This type of structure most likely originated in northern Europe, and the tradition was continued when Europeans began to settle in the Old West. I captured this beauty near Abiquiú on the Ghost Ranch property in north central New Mexico.
