Kidney shrinkage is a condition in which the size of the kidney goes down. As the size of the kidney goes down, the level of creatinine and urea increases as the kidney loses its function to filter out all the waste material from the body. The normal size of the kidney is 10 cm in bipolar length. Because of high blood pressure or pyelonephritis the size of the kidney goes down to 8.5 cm. This condition is known as Kidney Shrinkage.
