Responsibility & Toilet Paper
Responsibility & Toilet Paper
Responsibility & Toilet Paper - two things that are not usually connected. Sometimes the small responsibilities, have the biggest impact
Responsibility is more fluid than most appreciate, your life experiences, your ethics, and how you view responsibility drastically change as you mature & encounter new situations.
My Philosophy currently is summarized in a basic saying: "If you can do it, do it, don't leave it to somebody else". I believe that in every situation there is always something you could have done. That doesn't mean it's always your fault, however, when you look at a situation there is no point in blaming something else or the circumstances. You'll never learn, never progress and nothing will ever improve thinking that way. You should always move with a mindset of "what could I have done". If you can do something - do it, take action.
Now where does the toilet paper comes in... as funny as it sounds one, of the defining moments which affected my thinking & philosophy in the past few years is related to toilet paper. One day at work using the restroom, I looked at the toilet paper roll sitting on the stand, and thought "How come people are so lazy they can't put the darn toilet paper on the roll?", but hen I realized how hypocritical I was. Here I was, staring at the roll not doing anything while thinking people are lazy for not doing anything.
