Aquaponics Basics
The absolute basic foundation for fish breeding - can be indoor or outdoor
Very basic overview into home aquaponics - can be used for a range of fish, the easiest being tilapia & prawns.What you need:- Fish Tank/container for the fish & a smaller container for the filter material- Small aquarium water pump. Get one with 2 airlines that sets outside of the tank- Lava rock & sponges for filtering- PVC pipe - PVC Straight pipe - PVC angle pieces x3 - PVC cutter- Basic fish food & algae grower- Basic tools & waterBasic Design:The water drains out a PVC pipe into the filter material then, using the pumps draw, dumps back into the top of the container. Your fish eat & breed in the container & the water is filtered automatically back into the tank. Its cheap, easy to maintain & basic to create - perfect for beginners.
