My optional image is a minimalist as well. I enjoy the challenge of communicating more with less. For me, for now, the artistry lies in the nuance. In my personal photographic endeavors I try to represent the nuance in a scene more than anything. For instance, this blooming flower felt like it was influencing the entire surrounding area. There was warmth to the air and a deepness to the shadows this close to sunset, so I tried my best to communicate that in this image. I am not in love with the composition, but I do feel that it is dynamically balanced, so I like it for that.
