The bright star in the upper right corner is Aljanah (Epsilon Cygni), third brightest star in the Cygnus constellation and part of the Northern cross asterism.

 

Nebulosity in the image is an ancient supernova remnant. Different parts of the remnant have acquired informal names over the years.

 

Arc like structure in the upper part of this image is called Eastern veil nebula (NGC 6992). Nebula in the lower part of the image is called Western veil nebula or the Witch's broom nebula (NGC 6960).
