Upgrading Adam by Vesperalia

This digital collage is full of heavy symbolism and multiple interpretations. Here was have what is supposed to be "Adam," our representation of the original and most authentic version of humanity, and yet, he is free of many things that make us human. His body is hollowed out, free from his human viscera modified by unidentifiable machinery. Adam's face and identity are gone. For is the abandonment of physicality not a part of transhumanism? If you are beyond the human form, so changed that you cannot be called just human anymore, do you have an identity as we know it anymore? Does a name or a face matter when you can be anything? We also could interpret that the hand that holds "Adam" is also man and that this transhumanist creation is of our own making, and we as humans have usurped God to make man in an image of our choices now. We see eyes in the corner; are they Adam's abandoned eyes? They seem to be looking out from the cusp of a seashell, which has been interpreted as the unconscious mind in modern times.
