Beatiful Fate
•Take a beautiful picture of something ugly
Story:
I took this photo of a street sign inside a cemetery fence. When I saw it, I thought of how strange it was. And it's not that there's one, there's several. It seemed odd that there would be streets for a graveyard.
Concept:
I focused on the street sign to convey the idea that life moves forward. I turned up the aperture size a bit so the graves would be out of focus, because I wanted it to show how overbearing the concept of time can be, especially over such heavy subjects.
Aspects:
I used a medium aperture size because I wanted the graves in the background to still be visible but to not be the focus of the image. It was pretty late in the evening so I didn't get a ton of light naturally, I turned up the ISO settings a good bit so the dark features of the graves were still recognizable.
