Lake Amatitlán, Guatemala - found slides 1974
Left frame: writing on the slide mount says, "Pk at Lake Amatillan." We're looking at some kind of flowering tree shot by our photographer colleague in February.
Center: I couldn't tell which way is 'up' on this slide. I think the writing on the slide mount says "flowers - Pk at Lake Amatillan."
Right: I think the writing on the slide mount says, "Pk at Lake Amatillan. Bus ride there." I guess that 'Pk' means park. There's a human in the crotch of the tree trunk at right.
This is slightly out of focus. I think most photo gear was manual focus in 1974. To get a clean image on Ektachrome, people had to be disciplined and think about framing, focus, and exposure. You rely on the electronic gear when you shoot something with your present-day phone. I horsed with these a little to bring out the shadows but the photographer did a better job than I would have.
