US northeast JVC camera time lapse
Some years ago, I bought a JVC video camera only for its time lapse feature. Yes, you can use your SLR with an intervalometer and do the same thing. But it's much easier to clamp this thing on the tripod, press "record," then go have a sandwich. I remember often spending a good, solid half hour to capture a very short sequence.
I shot a few dozen of these and really enjoy the result, then, I dropped the all-plastic camera, destroying it.
This sunset was recorded somewhere in rural Pennsylvania or upstate New York.
I remember the first day [we arrived here in Germany]. I could finally exhale. We went to Grossen Garden. People were just sitting out and enjoying the sun. And somewhere in my head, like a picture from a movie, when two realities are split screen, side by side. One here, that is sunny and calm. And one back there, with explosions, and sirens, and depression. I couldn’t process it. I felt the atmosphere and aura of peace and quiet. But I still couldn’t comprehend that I was safe.
