Palm Springs Air Museum 2020 panorama 1

From the archives, a panorama of a US Marine Corps helicopter at the Palm Springs Air Museum.

At the time this was posted, admission was US$22. There are generally no barriers between the aircraft and visitors. The exception is an area where aircraft are being restored. For example, a recently-acquired Boeing B-17. Until oil drips are contained, and repairs are completed, the B-17 will be roped off. The museum has two B-17s, one is maintained in flying condition. The other flew into the museum and is undergoing work.

You know you're in trouble when your boss tells you he's got a 'little' job for you, you see a strange helicopter with the motor running, and you're told that, 'I've got total and complete faith in you.'
