Standing proudly next to their pride and joy, the Clinchfield 1 Spot, brothers George and Ed Hatcher pose for a moment while servicing the little 10 wheeler at Green Mountain, NC on August 19, 1971. Ed served as the engineer for the locomotive while George fired for his older brother. Both have since passed, with George passing more recently in 2018, he was lucky enough to be in the cab of the 800 in 2017 during the 75th anniversary run, a run he had done many times in his career.
