Our 2025 gala celebrates alumnus, Shauna Curry, P.Eng (BE'94, Agricultural Engineering). Shauna is the President & CEO of the Centre for Affordable Water and Sanitation Technology (CAWST) leading a global team to address water, sanitation, and hygiene challenges. Under her leadership, CAWST has reached 50 million people and, in 2024, people from 200+ countries accessed its training and consulting services. The organization aims to impact 50 million more people by 2030. Shauna is committed to solving problems at their root cause and empowering people to create a more equitable and just world through water.
Each year the C.J. Mackenzie Gala recognizes the achievements of a member of our alumni community who has attained a position of eminence within their profession. They are honoured as the evening’s Distinguished Lecturer and are inducted into the College of Engineering’s Alumni Wall of Distinction.
