ca. 1710 John Wells Cape, Wells, Maine

I do not know who John Wells was, but he was not a founder of Wells, Maine! The town was apparently "named for the cathedral city of Wells, in Somerset, England" according to the town's website. This is a fine little home considering that it is a 300-year-old wooden structure.
