IL PRESEPE FAVOLOSO - NAPOLI - #220 Explore February 21, 2025
Dal 24 dicembre 2021, nella seicentesca sagrestia della Basilica di Santa Maria della Sanità, è possibile scoprire “Il Presepe Favoloso”: un’opera monumentale e permanente realizzata e donata alla città dalla bottega La Scarabattola dei fratelli Scuotto, in collaborazione con il restauratore e scenografo presepiale Biagio Roscigno.
Il presepe si aggiungerà al patrimonio culturale e artistico del Rione Sanità ampliando e arricchendo l’esperienza di scoperta dei numerosi visitatori che scelgono di percorrere lo storico quartiere di Napoli. L’opera presepiale misura 360 x 270cm ed è alta 220cm mentre la teca che la custodisce misura 466 x 376cm ed è alta 336cm. L’intera scenografia è composta da più di cento pastori oltre gli animali e i preziosi accessori ed è ammirabile da ogni lato.
THE FABULOUS NATIVITY NAPLES
From 24 December 2021, in the seventeenth-century sacristy of the Basilica of Santa Maria della Sanità, it is possible to discover "Il Presepe Favoloso": a monumental and permanent work created and donated to the city by the La Scarabattola workshop of the Scuotto brothers, in collaboration with the restorer and nativity scene designer Biagio Roscigno.
The nativity scene will add to the cultural and artistic heritage of the Rione Sanità, expanding and enriching the discovery experience of the many visitors who choose to travel through the historic district of Naples. The nativity scene measures 360 x 270cm and is 220cm high while the case that houses it measures 466 x 376cm and is 336cm high. The entire scenography is made up of more than one hundred shepherds as well as the animals and precious accessories and can be admired from all sides.
