The Berlin Philharmonie (Berliner Philharmonie) is a set of two concert halls located in central Berlin, southeast of the Großer Tiergarten, incorporating a symphony concert hall designed by Hans Scharoun and inaugurated in 1963, and a concert hall chamber music produced by Edgar Wisniewski after a project by Scharoun and inaugurated in 19871. It is the seat of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra which was under the direction of Herbert von Karajan from 1954 to 1989.
Die Berliner Philharmonie besteht aus zwei Konzertsälen im Zentrum Berlins, südöstlich des Großen Tiergartens. Sie umfasst einen von Hans Scharoun entworfenen und 1963 eingeweihten Sinfoniekonzertsaal und einen anschließend von Edgar Wisniewski produzierten Kammermusiksaal ein Projekt von Scharoun und 1987 eingeweiht1. Es ist Sitz der Berliner Philharmoniker das von 1954 bis 1989 unter der Leitung von Herbert von Karajan stand.
