THE RING OF BRODGAR
L'Anneau de Brodgar (ou Brogar, ou Ring o' Brodgar) est un cercle de pierres néolithique situé à environ 6 miles au nord-est de Stromness sur la plus grande île des Orcades, en Écosse. Il fait partie du site du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO connu sous le nom de cœur des Orcades néolithiques.
Le cercle de pierres mesure 104 mètres de diamètre et est le troisième plus grand des îles britanniques. Le cercle comprenait à l'origine jusqu'à 60 pierres, dont seulement 27 restaient debout à la fin du XXe siècle.
The Ring of Brodgar (or Brogar, or Ring o' Brodgar) is a Neolithic stone circle located approximately 6 miles northeast of Stromness on the largest island of Orkney, Scotland. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the Heart of Neolithic Orkney.
The stone circle measures 104 meters in diameter and is the third largest in the British Isles. The circle originally comprised up to 60 stones, of which only 27 remained standing at the end of the 20th century.
