Arnez4 - f/29
This images aperture is set at f/29. The depth of field on this image is deep. The depth of field is deep enough to at least semi capture the house in the background. The camera is only a few inches away from the branches and if the camera was moved further back then the image would lose some depth because there would be nothing in the foreground.
As for the artist, Victor Schrager's work is a good demonstration/use of aperture. In his work you can see that he only focus' on one side of an object and everything else is blurry. This showed me that aperture is used in correlation with what's being focused on in the image.
