Immingham East Junction 18th June 2018

Viewed before its remodelling and simplification is Immingham East Junction itself.

Number 50 signal in front of me protects the junction from the Immingham Docks Eastern Jetty direction, whilst visible to the left is number 45 signal applying to the approach from Grimsby via the Light Railway.

Straight ahead are the lines leading towards Immingham Reception Sidings SB, with access to Immingham TMD being round the corner just out of sight to the right.

The semaphore signalling here was all worked by the pneumatic slide frame in Immingham East Junction SB.

About five months after this photo was taken, the box was closed with its area of control being remodelled and taken over by a small NX panel in a modular building round the corner.

The short lived replacement Immingham East Junction box itself ceased to be a signalling control location from Christmas Eve 2015 when it was closed and control transferred to the North Lincs Workstation at York ROC, photos of which can be found later in this album.
