Educational partnerships with Jamaica (Ministry of Education & Youth)
I had the privilege of leading a dedicated team to Jamaica for a series of productive discussions on forging new educational partnerships. Invited by the Ministry of Education and Youth, Jamaica, our focus was on establishing a framework for recruiting skilled teachers from Ghana to contribute to Jamaica’s flourishing education system.
Our discussions centered around how we can work together in a way that benefits both countries, ensuring that our collaboration upholds the highest standards of educational excellence. The team and I also had the opportunity to visit several schools, where we were truly inspired by the impressive infrastructure and creative approaches to learning. These experiences have given us a lot to think about as we look to enhance our own education system in Ghana.
This visit has laid the foundation for a promising partnership that not only bridges our two nations but also enriches the educational experiences of students and teachers alike. We are incredibly thankful to the Jamaican government for their warm hospitality and for going above and beyond to make our visit both welcoming and productive. We are excited about the possibilities and look forward to the next steps in this collaborative journey.
