Thank You!
It's time to sit down with Wick and listen to them ramble a little. Here goes.
I started posting pictures on Flickr as a way to catalogue my art and to "save" some pictures I'd taken for photo contests or for pure recreation. Then I started blogging!
I didn't expect it to get to this point, didn't expect to amass a modest, but incredibly flattering following-- all of you! And it's going to sound VERY sappy of me to say this, but it really does matter a great deal to me that over 500 of you have decided that you like my art enough to keep it in your feed, enough to follow me. I don't like thinking about numbers, because I think, for me, it tends to lead to comparisons and ultimately, a devaluing of the number that I DO have.
To fellow bloggers, thank you so much for the artistic inspiration you give me-- you all have new ideas that I NEVER would've come up with on my own, and I hope that what I say is taken in good faith-- you're all an inspiration and I learn from you all every time I scroll through my Flickr feed.
To the creators that I blog for, thank you for welcoming me into your team. You took a chance on me, and I know that's never an easy choice; every new picture is a new adventure, and for creators, that adventure is an unknown until they see it for themselves. Thank you for letting me take you all on my adventures with me!
To my friends who have helped me with tips, tricks, troubleshooting, and co-modeling-- thank you! Many of you have given me tools and advice that have helped me IMMENSELY in my growth as a virtual photography hobbyist.
To my followers as a whole-- thank you. Your views, likes, and comments really do keep me going. You make my work worth it.
I want to keep growing, and having you all at my back, by my side, really does help me with each step forward that I take.
