1. Is FMGE a mandatory examination?
Yes, qualifying the FMGE is mandatory to secure a medical practitioner’s license in India.
2. What is the marking system for FMGE like?
Every correct question in FMGE awards the candidate one positive mark. There is no negative marking in the examination; therefore, all incorrect and unanswered questions do not get scored.
3. Is there a new testing format for FMGE?
Yes, FMGE has currently introduced a Computer Based Examination (CBT) instead of a paper and pencil test. This change in the examination process started from June 2014 administration. In spite of reading on a paper booklet and answering by using a pencil/pen to darken the ovals on the answer sheet, candidates will have to read the questions on computer terminals and click on the correct answer at this time.
4. What does a WITHHELD result mean?
