Tapovan

Tapovan comes from the two root words tapas, meaning 'penance' and by extension 'religious mortification' and 'austerity', and more generally 'spiritual practice', and vana, meaning 'forest' or 'thicket'. Tapovan then translates as 'forest of austerities or spiritual practice'.
