House of Dun, Angus

The view from the terrace at House of Dun - from where you can see over the Montrose Basin to the Angus hills beyond. This Georgian mansion, now owned by the National Trust for Scotland, was designed by William Adam and built in 1743. I love its walled garden and woodland walks - which are perfect for seeing carpets of snowdrops and then bluebells through the seasons,
