On the bench

Two lads take a break from cycling round Keptie Pond in Arbroath. The oversized red bench is part of the Big Bench Community Project, which originated in Italy. In fact, Arbroath’s bench was the first to be installed outside Italy, in 2018. The benches are designed to recreate the sensation of being a child exploring the outdoors.
