In and among the Fig branches ... Nuttall's Woodpecker, (Picoides nuttallii)

This Fig Tree grows right next to our deck and one of the suet feeders. It is the preferred launch pad to the suet for many birds, including this male Nuttall's Woodpecker who with his pretty red head stands out against the denuded winter branches of the Fig.
