A little girl
No more...
Fully grown now
Into the shadow
That corners her

The sun again
Knowing how close

To the warmth
On her back
On her arms
Under her feet
If she just stepped
Into it, onto it
Onto the floorboards
Just what is it
That holds her back
From taking that step
