The Unbreakable Vow

Davorin Koslarević had lived with peace of mind just like the rest of his family, for a long time. But then that was put into danger when his son brought this woman. A Muggle. It was unheard of in the proud Croatian Pureblood Family. But no matter what he tried Kilian was unyielding. So it was at him to protect his family. Who knew what would happen if the Muggles around them found out the truth.
He was so sure that -as soon as he mentioned that she would die if she spilled the beans- she'd run. He was so sure in fact that he said he would agree to their marriage if she took the vow. It had not gone as he had planned.
Here she stood, head held high looking at Kilian and without hesitation grabbed his forearm. "Do it." she said without taking her eyes of his son. He should have killed her, had her obliviated -anything- months ago when Kilian had mentioned her for the first time. But here he was, an honorable proud man who now had no chance but keep his word and accept this ... blemish into his family.
For a long moment he stood in silence, hoping she'd change her mind, but that never happened. Kilian kept his eyes on the woman before him, surprise and love shining in them. Davorin grumbled before he drew his wand and tipped the linked hands. The bright binding wrapped around their connection as the Croatian words he did not want to speak came from his lips.
"Mirjana Milošević, do you vow to keep the existence of the magical world secret, and take all you learn about us to your grave?"
"I do." It had not even taken a breath's time-span before she spoke.
"Do you vow to protect the secret and the Koslarević family from discovery through the Muggle world at all costs, including your life?"
"I do." The pause he expected once more had not happened. Either Mirjana was really stupid, or very very serious about her commitment. Since he was at it, he would add one more.
"Do you vow that should you bear children you will not stand in the way of their education in the wizarding ways as the Wixen in this family see fit?"
"Father!" Kilian protested, that had not been part of the plan.
But Mirjana simply smiled. "I do."
Both men's eyes jumped to her. With the last vow done the glowing bond sunk in and disappeared from sight.
Kilian stepped forward. "You didn't have to do that last bit." But she raised her hand to place it on his cheek. "_You_ too are part of the Wixen in this family and I trust you with my life."
Davorin stared at her as she spoke and stashed his wand away with a grunt. He really should have gotten rid of her, this would become difficult.
