Astrological Clock @ Bracken house

Although it’s a clock, there are no hands, as the entire outer dial rotates with the current time read by the time appearing at the top of the clock inside a decorative frame. Likewise, the inner dial for the months and astrological symbols also rotates over the period of the year. The elegant astronomical clock is approximately 1 metre in diameter and has at its centre a face of Winston Churchill, a personal friend of Brendan Bracken.

The Clock sits above the door of Bracken House,. Originally completed in 1959, Bracken House was named after Brendan Bracken, former chairman of the Financial Times. It became a Grade II listed building in 1987.
