Delayed Z Train
The sun is set and blue hour is at its peak when the ZBRLC smokes its way out of Roseville. As usual, the Z was wasting no time getting out of town, but this day they couldn’t afford to anyways. The previous day, this train was due into Roseville at 6:45, and were actually running ahead of that schedule, but then as bad luck would have it the train got halted. A car had stalled on the tracks at Binney which caused a halt on all traffic in the area for over an hour while the car was getting removed. Eventually, traffic would get moving again, but this Z was now stuck behind a manifest which was going a bit slower then what stack trains are permitted to go. Finally, the train reached Roseville, and after a decently long crew change made it out of town under the final minutes of light in the sky before dark.
