Scars of Dixie
An oil train with all Canadian power rolls over the Keddie Wye as they make their way to Stockton. On the top of the mountain the scars of the Dixie Fire can be clearly seen. When the fire broke out in July of 2021, the UP, BNSF, and several fire departments were working all day and night for months to keep the fire from spreading. The fire would burn all the way into the burn zone of a fire that had been contained only weeks before and unfortunately the fire would burn down the town of Greenville located not far north of the Keddie Wye on BNSF's Gateway Sub. Although the town is rebuilding today, it mostly sits in ruins and will take a very long time to rebuild.
