Sunset Birdwatching in Far North Queensland, Blue
This week the design challenge at Spoonflower is themed “The Birding”. The birdwatching theme inspired me to design a scene that is very prevalent here in Far North Queensland in Australia. Swooping Sulphur crested Cockatoos and laughing Kookaburras are common visitors in our back and front yards. These beautiful birds enjoy visiting humans in search of some easy food or just for some socializing. Did you know that Cockatoos are very intelligent and make great pets? In Indigenous culture, Kookaburras were created to wake people and living creatures, when the sun comes up, with their distinct laugh. Kind of like and Australian rooster 😊 I hope you enjoy my design 😊 There are a lot of coordinating fabric designs to see in the store as well.
