Barlow Village Club, Barlow, Selby

Barlow Village Club, located on Park Lane in Selby, North Yorkshire, is a fully licensed members' club offering amenities like a full-sized snooker table, pool table, and darts. It is situated next to the Barlow Village Hall, which has historical significance as a former mess building from the Royal Ordnance Depot during World War II.

The club and hall are among the few surviving structures from the depot, which also included a POW camp and other facilities. The village itself has a rich history, with mentions in the Domesday Book and remnants of the medieval village of Berlai. Over the years, Barlow has been home to various industries, including brickworks, racehorse training, and even an airship factory.

The club and hall were purchased by the residents of Barlow in 1990, showcasing the community's dedication to preserving these spaces. Today, they serve as hubs for social and recreational activities, reflecting the village's strong sense of community spirit
