HO-scale SD75 Pace
This is one of my favorite model shots I’ve taken, both digital and film. Doing a pacing shot with a film camera is definitely more challenging than a modern digital camera. With the digital cameras, you get that instant gratification and can change your camera settings on the fly in order to get what you want. With the film camera, not so much. You basically have to know (or guess) what you want to do and set your exposure and f-stop accordingly. Of the 20 or so pacing frames I took of this ATSF SD75, I was only satisfied with maybe 2 or 3 frames. But? All it takes is one. Anyway, this was taken on the HO ATSF Hereford Sub at Texico on the Texas side. The SD75M is leading an eastbound shooter towards Amarillo and will be there in no time.
