So.....I got a new toy in the form of a very nice 35-350mm lens. The thing is a monster and is heavy enough that I need to use the tripod at all times when possible. So as luck would have it, the same day I got this new lens, I got word that a train was coming west with a CN unit leading. After doing a quick check to see that it was an EMD, I couldn't refuse that opportunity. I loaded up and headed east into the heart of the Cherokee Sub.
I went all the way up here to Catale to get my first shot. I shot here at this road crossing that I had never shot at before. The clouds had started to move in so I didn't get what I wanted with this shot, but I am still posting it because it is cool to me.
