With my Chinese Friends in the CSSS
I am a member of Chinese Student and Scholars Society in the Ohio State University. This is the first activity in this semester. For most of us, we have not met for one year because of the pandemic. We just finished the activity and going to take a group photo in front of the Enarson Classroom Building. I choose this selfie because working in the CSSS is a special and important experience in my school life. We participated in and hold several activities in the university. The most memorable two for me are the Chinese Festival Culture Exposition and the Spring Festival show. We worked hard to prepare it and want to show the Chinese Culture to the university to help build the school's culture diversity. I helped build the stage and then had my own booth to talk about the story of the Dragon Boat Festival to person passed by.
For the Capstone Album, the organization and activities helped defined myself with the most important identity that I have during this four years: an international student in the Ohio State University from China. I was little scared when I come to a foreign country with myself. When I find the CSSS and joined it, I got the feeling of belonging and become not afraid of who I am but show the culture I had to the outside. I gradually understand how I can contribute to the school with my identity as an international student.
