This photo was captured on the only rainy day of our vacation. We started our day at the Natural Bridges National Monument in Utah.
Natural Bridges includes three large rock bridges viewable from the roadside but best visited by hiking down into the lower levels of the park. Because it was wet and rainy and the slickrock was, well, slick, we decided to stick to the vicinity of the roadside parking areas and skipped hiking down towards the bridges themselves.
The rain was intermittent but cleared later in the morning and we were even treated to this spectacular rainbow as we drove north into Canyonlands N.P.
