Comet C/2025 A6 Lemmon over Trosky Castle
This image was taken on October 18th at the previously planned spot in the Czech Paradise. Actually, it was not my idea to take this comet with Trosky Castle - Ondřej Holas wanted me to help him find the exact location from which the comet would be visible over this castle. And eventually, I joined him.
The comet was exactly where it should have been, and in addition, we experienced an unprecedented phenomenon. While this image was being captured, the aurora borealis covered the northern horizon, which, by the way, unfortunately caused me not to take the images of the foreground properly. Therefore, I asked Libor Hašpl, another photographer, whom we met at this place, to send me his data of the foreground. So I want to thank him for his kindness; the final image looks much better thanks to him.
And as I mentioned, we witnessed beautiful aurora borealis that evening. So, you can look forward to some other photos of it in the following posts!
