Red sprites from my home

Two days ago, I was lucky to capture a few so-called red sprites, which are large upper-atmospheric lightning phenomena that occur above thunderstorms at an altitude range of 50 to 90 km.

These red sprites occurred above thunderstorms located over Bavaria, Germany. The brightest red sprite in the first picture is probably from a thunderstorm near Ingolstadt, 350 km away (I also added one fainter red sprite for comparison, taken at a different time - it is to the left of the bright one).

It is also possible to spot the Milky Way arch in this image. Honestly, it really surprised me, as this picture was taken under Bortle 7 skies, from a city with a population of over 100,000 citizens, moreover, with the moon in the night sky.

I am super happy that I captured the red sprites for the first time, finally.
