PCB Fabrication
The PCB board has copper traces but no circuit components at this stage of the PCB fabrication process. At the locations where the electrical and electronic components are positioned on the board, holes must be bored to mount the components. Either lasers or a unique Tungsten Carbide drill bit is used to create the holes. The electrical connection between the layers of the board is made when the holes are drilled and either hollow rivets are placed into them or they are electroplated. The PCB is then covered in a masking material, except for the pads and the holes.
