This is a reference for all my photos this week: Duchemin recommended that, "next time you’re photographing something, take a little extra time to be aware of what is in, and out, of the frame, and try moving—do a complete circle around your subject if you have to—and see if you can’t strengthen your image that way." I did just that with all my photos this week, I made sure to carefully frame each image, I shot at different angles and different distances.

He also recommended to use a wider aperture and get closer to create a shallower DOF.

He said, “A softer focus on the background can diminish the pull on the eye, which in turn strengthens the impact of the elements in focus.”

My intention with this photo was to try to create tonal contrast by isolating the subject with post processing.

I think it has great tonal contrast I tried to photographer from the "dead cats" POV playing with his pumpkin toy.

For editing: I did some cleaning up. Sharpened and used noise reduction. I also did some dodging and burning, cropped and finished editing in ACR. I added B&W layer and tweaked the color mixer to my liking. Added curves layer, B & W layer, vignetting and brightness and contrast
