Native seed processing

Hammer milling is the first step in the cleaning process, releasing seed from capsules and breaking apart seed clusters. Processing, storage and management of the native seed harvest is done at the Dane County Seed Shed attached to the William G. Lunney Lake Farm County Park, part of the Capital Springs Recreation Area.
