A Dream Within A Dream
Edgar Allen Poe’s 1849 poetic classic provides the perfect title for today’s image. During last weeks solar storm I had the good fortune to find myself deep within the dark of the wilds of northern Minnesota. DMIR 408 and friends idling away while the sky erupted above. Waves of magenta, purple and white ebbed and flowed up high while neon greens pulsated below. For over an hour we watched in amazement as the Aurora put on the show. If I never live to see the northern lights again I will die satisfied in the knowledge that I witnessed the ultimate. It will NEVER bee better than this!
