The Manor Grove Guide – The Grand Theatre
The 'glorious' Grand, as it is locally known, was designed by Victorian theatre architect Frank Matcham and was opened in 1894, this stunning architectural majesty hosts gilded plasterwork, a baroque ceiling, cavorting cherubs and cantilevered balconies.
The Grand is a 1,100 seater theater that hosts a variety of performances year round. On performance days the box office is open until the show starts. They host drama, dance, comedy, music as well as family entertainment, so the whole family can enjoy it!
For this year, you can get tickets for: Catch Me If You Can, a thriller starting Patrick Duffy from Dallas fame, Linda Purl from Homeland, and Gray O’Brien (Corontion St); Father Brown – The Murder In The Mirror with John Lyons(A Touch of Frost); and the musical drama The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, which start Shobna Gulati (Coronation St) and Ian Kensley (Emmerdale).
Recently announced was Moustetrap, a murder mystery by Agatha Christie, which will put up a performance as part of as parts of the UK Direct Tour from West End.
