It was the toughest fight Jallak had ever fought with a snake. But in the end he emerged victorious and it gave him great satisfaction to loosen the gems from her body.
He made his way home with full saddlebags.
As he approached the Talina Bridge, he knew he would be there soon. But something he didn't know: In the thicket on the other side of the river, a group of villains had been hiding; they were also after the gems.
Will Jallak notice the ambush in time? Is it a coincidence the villains are hiding right there? Or did they even get a hint about his travel route?
