Le grand savant Archimède est né à Syracuse vers 287 av. J.-C. Il y est mort en 212 av. J.-C. de la main d'un soldat romain chargé de le prendre vivant.

 

The great scientist Archimedes was born in Syracuse around 287 B.C. He died there in 212 B.C. at the hands of a Roman soldier charged with taking him alive.
